David's jouney in glassblowing began in
1973 under the tutelage of Master Gaffer
Robert Mason. Learning in the tradition of
countless generations of Scottish Masters.
David gained skilles that compliment his
natural artistic talent. From the early
basic steps to today's ability to create complex
pieces, David has cherished the challenge
glassblowing offers.

David McDermott

   
Yukimi was born in Osaka Japan in 1973,
graduated from Osaka Designer School
specialized in Production Design (1993).
Yukimi went to work at Suwa Glass
Studio in Nagano, after two years of
apprenticing, she went to work at various
studios in Japan, Yukimi decided to attend
The Studio at Corning NY in 1999.
Shortly there after, she started to work
with David. David and Yukimi started
McDermott Glass Studio in 2002. Yukimi's
inpeccable color selection and soft design
are second to none. She enjoys work
with colors which creates the feeling of Nature.

Bryan Randa joined McDermott Glass Studioin May of 2005. Bryan is originally from Fenton, Iowa, a small town located in northwest Iowa.
Before finding his way to Massachusetts, Bryan attended a few colleges in different regions of Iowa, where he enjoyed the worlds of graphic design, sculpture and ceramics.
Not until meeting David and Yukimi did Bryan find his love for glass. With David and Yukimi, Bryan is developing skills and ideas as McDermott Glass Studio grows day by day as one.
